Lee A. White Jr.

Lee A. White, Jr. (L.A.), 68, loving husband, father and grandfather, departed this life on March 16, 2011. Lee A. White, Jr. (L.A.) was born on December 7, 1942 to L. A. White (Sr.) and Pauline White in Taylor, Texas.

Lee gave his life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served and showed his devotion to Christ through his works in the Male Chorus, Usher Board, Brotherhood Union and as a Vice-Chairman on the Deacon Board.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Alfred White, and one sister, Joyce Ann White.

He was united in holy matrimony to Pinkie Montez on June 25, 1966. To this union two daughters were born.

Lee, a loving and dedicated husband, devoted father and grandfather, leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 45 years, Pinkie White; two daughters, Chandra and husband Gerald Wright of Pflugerville, Texas, and Kim and husband Oday Reeves, Jr. also of Pflugerville, Texas; four grandchildren, Jarren, Jordan, Ryland and Jaylen; three sisters, Louise Smith of Arlington, Texas, Sarah White and Evelyn Davis, both of Taylor, Texas; one brother, Clarence White of Arlington, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, March 21, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be 1 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas, with Rev. Tony Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
