Anna Janet (Peschel) Vitek, 74, passed away on January 15, 2011.
She was born August 10, 1936 to parents Adolph Peschel and Dora (Wolf) Peschel in Walburg, Tx. She was baptized on September 6, 1936, and confirmed June 6, 1950 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg.
She was married to Robert L. Vitek on December 25, 1954 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg. Two children were born to this marriage, Rev. Robert J. “Bobby” Vitek and Garla J. Jansky.
Mrs. Vitek is survived by her husband Robert L. Vitek of Thrall, son Rev. Robert J. “Bobby” and wife Tammy Vitek of Fredericksburg, Tx, daughter Garla J. and husband Richard Jansky of Taylor, Tx, and 4 grandchildren, Katy and Andy Vitek of Fredericksburg and Brian and Laurie Jansky of Taylor. Also surviving Fay and husband Joe Bozon of Salado, brothers Linard “Buddy” and wife Nellie Peschel of Salado and Harold Peschel and friend Carolyn of Georgetown, and sister-in-law, Virginia Hall of Georgetown and Hermina Vitek of Taylor.
Mrs. Vitek was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Thrall and belonged to the Church Women ELCA. She was a member of Thrall Volunteer Fire Auxiliary and Herman Sons Grand Lodge. She was retired from Travis County District Clerks Office.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 1P.M. – 2 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Granger, Texas.
