Betty Champion

Betty June was the seventh child of Augusta Quast Sutton and Charlie F. Sutton, born on April 13th, 1931 in Norman’s Crossing. She grew up in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Taylor High school in 1948. June’s main passion in life was singing. She was a life long member of Sweet Adelines and several barbershop quartets including the Luv-a-belles. One of her greatest gifts was her gift for friendship Every friend she made became a friend for life. June also loved gardening, cooking, collecting antique dolls and celebrating Christmas with her family. June retired to Cedar Park to be close to her family and friends.

June was preceded in death my her mother and farther, and Her brothers: Cecil Sutton and wife Ruby, John G. Sutton, Emil H. Sutton, Jack B. Sutton and wife Lucy Deane, Gardiner W. Sutton and Colon R. Sutton, Son in Law: Willie J. Faglie Jr., and Nephews: George Sutton and Jack Wayne Sutton.

June us survived by her Daughters: Candace Million and husband Vince, Cassie Faglie, Granddaughters: Melissa Davis and husband Troy, and Lauren Love, Great Granddaughter: De’Ana Hill and Camille Love, Sister in Laws: Mary Pearl Sutton, Margie Sutton, Pauline Sutton and Peggy Sutton and Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sagebrook Rehabilitation Center and Lighthouse at Altenheim for their loving care and support.

Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
